They are not open on most holidays as they are a people first company and try to allow their employees to spend time with their families on those important days
Great atmosphere. Great service. The Crawfish etouffee was delicious. The shrimp and grits with the cajun cream sauce was mediocre.
Great food and great service. We had the bucket of love and the shrimp and grits. Everything was great we will be back
Louisiana, home of the Creole, City of New Orleans, jambalaya, and etouffee. If you can't visit Louisiana, the next best thing would be Fire on the Bayou. If you're looking for jambalaya, crawfish etouffee Cajun pasta, or just a simple blackened catfish, they have it all. I had the seafood jambalaya. It was an ample portion and they weren't stingy with the shrimp. The spice mix was delicious. The meal was delivered in the classic Cajun style shallow bowl. The generous portion of rice covered a wonderful combination of andouille sausage and shrimp. As you would expect, the dessert menu includes bread pudding. I highly recommend it. A plump, piping hot piece of bread pudding topped with raisins and a silky smooth Bourbon sauce. The staff was courteous, warm, and attentive without over-serving. If you're looking for a taste of Louisiana you won't be disappointed if you visit this diamond in the rough.
GREAT FOOD ALL THE WAY AROUND! I know cajun food. This is the best your gonna get this side of the Mississippi.
The atmosphere and artwork is amazing. The employees were friendly. The food was delicious and full of flavor 👌 The prices are pretty decent.
Within the first week of discovering this place, I have been back five times! However, that REALLY means I have eaten here almost exclusively in that time period because I have had leftovers every day. Everything has been amazing. Almost every thing I have tried has been the best I have ever had. Best fried shrimp. Best fried fish. Best tarter sauce. Best french fries. Amazing wedge salad. And crazy good bread pudding! It took two of us two days to eat one order of bread pudding! I think the people who wrote negative reviews must have this mixed up with some other restaurant. This is my new favorite restaurant. I plan to eventually try every item on the menu. The ONLY negative comment I have is that the draft beer was quite expensive ($6 to $8 a glass).
Fantastic. Wesley was attentive, our drinks were never neglected. The food was phenomenal, po boy and burger cooked to perfection. Thanks to the staff for a great experience
This is good Cajun cookin’. Being from La. I endorse Fire on the Bayou whole heartily. If you can’t go to La. to eat, you can go here
This was my first time and I was blown away. The food is out of this world. Located on Enterprise Rd in Debary, fl. I would recommend this place to anyone. Service was top notch as well
The right level of spices at the right price. Everything tasted fresh and well made. The gambo leaves that everlasting taste in your life. Everything tasted like you are in New Orleans!
We love Fire on the Bayou! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. We tried the curbside takeout and were very pleased with the service. We especially like supporting our favorite local restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful experience and great people.
What an amazing meal. Had gator bites and blackened catfish on a bed of dirty rice and string beans smothered with shrimp and cajun cream sauce. 🙂👍🏽
Amazing food! Excellent service! Shrimp taco was off the chain. Atmosphere is on point.
My favorite place to get a Cajun boil. Awesome small gem of a restaurant
When I walked into the restaurant it's smells so good the aroma of the kitchen was smothering me. Waited to be seated very probably and the atmosphere of the restaurant was such an enjoyable one. Waitress was so nice. Got my appetizer and it was the fried green tomatoes and om gosh was it so good the sauce was good it was perfect.. the red-eye gravy that comes over the Grits was very good and savory. However my own opinion about the shrimp was a very bit too much salt please have two glasses of water at hand. Maybe it could be a Louisiana thing again but it was very very salty. Otherwise the atmosphere is great must try again... OK had another visit and wasn't impressed at all I actually meet the statement to who I was with that I would never come back here again. It just seems like almost everything that you will order has way too much salt. Even the charcoal grill chicken had too much charcoal on it from the grill as if they don't clean the grill
Happy atmosphere with all the flavor of New Orleans! Food was delicious and definitely something different for the area. They have beer and wine along with friendly staff and delicious food. Tiny place so it can get noisy and crowded.
Delicious! They were very kind and our server Leslie was awesome!
Loved it!!! Seated and served quickly by very courteous staff. The Taste of Nawlins was indeed very tasty. The fried Seafood Platter(not on the menu) special was wonderful!!! Perfectly cooked and not greasy at all!!! With an extra touch of finesse on presentation and no hard rice(just a few under those wonderful beans but it's the little things...😬) I would give that final star.🌟PS: anxiously awaiting Oviedo location.😊
Great food. The po boys are delicious
Really good place to eat. The service is great and polite. Seafood have many options that will get you full.Clean environment, great music, super fun and beer. Will recommend this place. It is also colorful everywhere.
I had their Cajun Pasta and Jambalaya. Both dishes were good!
Love love love this place. Everyone is really friendly, it's laid back, and the food is absolutely amazing. The burgers are big and juicy, the entrees have large portions, everything is always hot when it comes out. It's been said before, it'll be said again, but if you visit, try the bread pudding. It's the most incredible bread pudding ever, I love the sauce, and the portions are huge! I'd add pictures but we always eat everything before I think about it 😅
Everything was very good, the fish and chips was the favorite in our group. The portion on the fish and chips were huge and the fish had a nice flavor.
Love, love, love the shrimp & grits! How do they get those grits so creamy??? And the shrimp wrap is amazing as well as their fish & chips. The fries are THE BEST! The entire team is friendly and customer service is top notch. Lunch take out is quick and always ready on time! Cool place, great food, wonderful service.
Delicious dinner, huge portions!! I had shrimp & grits with red eye gravy...a lot of cheesy goodness & big shrimp. Hubs had the Taste of Nawlins. Generous sampling of jambalaya, gumbo & red beans & rice. All very good! Loved the painted walls & Nawlins deco.
I came in by myself and I took a seat at the bar. It was already packed before 6:30 on Thursday. The Jambalaya was excellent with nice large shrimp. The key lime seems homemade with real gram cracker crust, so good. I would definitely go back with my friends and family to enjoy a soulful experience.
Very tasty cajun garlic butter. Ordered the seafood boil with sauce on the side to dip it into, instead of smothering it all over the shell of the seafood. Food was fresh. Meat from the Crab legs come right out without needing to pry or tediously pulling them out. Priced fairly also. Highly recommended!
We love this place! The one in Oviedo, where we live is temporarily closed So we drove to this location to enjoy a great fish dinner. We have never gotten anything we didn’t like. It’s worth the drive!
I actually really enjoyed eating here. The prices were reasonable. We ordered the bucket that had 2 crab clusters a pound of crawfish half a pound of shrimp. Now remember when you order this you have to peel them yourself. Since they were cooked properly it was super easy to peel and eat. It comes with a half corn on the cob and a few small red potatoes and a sausage. We ordered the garlic butter. It was so good. I suggest you peel the crawfish and sit it in the sauce collected at the bottom. The servers were friendly and accommodating. I loved the big bright murals painted around. It is a smaller restaurant but its put together well. Even the bathrooms were clean and well kept. We will be back.
The food is not only delicious, but accurate. The restaurant's directive is "New Orleans," and having been to NOLA several times I can say that it is spot on. Great service. Decor is a bit over the top but for an area like OC it's warranted to nail the point home.
Amazing food! Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and delicious. This is my new favorite place. Will definitely be back for the shrimp and grits.
Have been wanting to check this place out for over a year but the wife is a little sensitive to spicy food so had held off. Finally made it in and was so wonderful! The reviews are right! Great food, VERY friendly and attentive service, spunky atmosphere... kinda mad at myself for waiting so long. Wife had the chicken sandwich and I had the "Taste of NOLA" everything was great and if you think the prices are a bit high, consider that you will probably be taking another meal home with you of left overs... we didn't have a hope of eating it all! Can't wait to go back and try something else. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!!
Food was very tasty. I had fried chicken PO Boy. Bread was crusty and chewing and chicken was meaty. I also had the steak tacos....skimpy and not worth the money. My daughter had the shrimp PO Boy and it was stuffed. Overall nice little place. Very busy
I’ve heard about this place and decided to try it. The food was delicious! There was no wait to be seated. There was no extended wait for our meals. The server was friendly. We will frequent this place quite often😊
Wonderfully Flavorful food full of eye popping colors and taste ! Absolutely worth the visit, you're taste buds would agree !!
BBQ shrimp for appetizer. And the Bucket of Love to split. Plenty for 2 people and some to take home. Every bite was full of flavor.
Saw the reviews so I tried it out. We really enjoyed the food and the service. A bit pricey with the seafood pot, but it was delicious. We got the crawfish ettoufee dip appetizer, FANTASTIC. The po boy with fried shrimp and crawfish was very good. Did NOT like the red beans and rice. The seafood pot and the bread pudding was good. Spent over $80, only had water. Satisfied our appetite, was not overly full. No leftovers. Dropped $100 with the tip. Felt a little used, but the food was good. Need to use fly bait or something to handle the flies that get into the restaurant.
First time here! Food and service were excellent!! Staff were friendly and helpful (mother uses a walker, they held the door open and moved chairs for ease and our convenience).
My husband and I enjoyed the food, the ambience and the Hospitality. Social Distancing was strongly enforced which was comforting.
Absolutely fantastic! I went in last night for a last minute bite and the wings a la carte in "Fire on the Bayou" were just what I needed! Definitely my new favorite chicken spot and will be back again. Also join their points club for some extra chicken benefits.
I ordered fish and chips, my first time ordering. Absolutely delicious! The Key Lime pie was also delicious! I did take out but the service on the phone and when I picked it up was excellent! I will be ordering again very soon!
Food is on point, they do serve basic wine and beer that’s not listed on the menu. If they ever get a liquor license and start serving some nawlins drinks in conjunction we would come out more often!
Food was great!! Wesley was a great server with awesome customer service!! My family and I will definitely be coming back here. Wesley is the man!!
Everything was so on point. The waitress Amber was awesome and her sweet tea was delicious... 20 stars from me and my family.. we had a burger, shirmp and grits, seafood platter and 🦀s.
From the second we came in, I started thinking the reviews were right. When we left I felt the same way. The service and the food was outstanding. We will be back. All the food was amazing. And our server was fantastic.
Awesome food! Especially for this time. Burgers are great. Tacos were so good. Fish, shrimp and crawdaddy tails were excellent. We'll be back!
4.5 rating!!! I would of given 5 stars. For starters we get there and the server tells us there is a 30 min wait. There was only one other group of 4 waiting before us. Not a big deal..so we waited, I am so glad we waited, so worth it! The food is truly delicious, I got the shrimp boil with the red potatoes and corn. The shrimp boil was flavorful and honestly I couldn't get enough of it! I chose the "bayou" seasoning with medium heat. Best decision made! I can't wait to go back and try their bread pudding! I will admit, there was only two servers for the entire place, I wasn't sure if maybe someone called off or whatever but they could use some additional wait staff other than that I'd give 5 stars, regardless the service was very good!!!
Love this place. Food is always delicious. The bread pudding was amazing! Love the vibe and the art painted on the walls. Even the ladies room is funky...in a good way.
A great little New Orleans style restaurant in Orlando. Great ambiance...
